Extended Brake Lines -steel braided, any recomendations on a place to get some?

so im in need of some new brake lines, if im gonna do this i want to get steel braided line. i went to one shop, they said the could make me some, and then yeah no they made them way too short -shorter than stock, and used the only fittings they had to make my lines... long story short(pun intended) it would be at least another month before they could get more of the fittings needed to make another set. went to another shop across town and inquired of them, got some poor customer service -the guy behind the counter was treating me like i was a prissy woman who was more worried about her dog in her purse than anyone else in the world... anyhow yeah i was not impressed with they way i was treated, and then when he quoted me the price i about had an coronary... $138 plus labor and tax... that was over double the price of the first place...

where are you guys getting(if your getting them) and how much are you paying for a set?

There's a guy on TacomaWorld that has a group buy page and sales custom made steel beaded brake lines. I pm'd back and forth with him some time last year and he said he could get lines for us, custom length and color.

Here ya go..

hahaha when I read your post I was thinking... the kid is a veteran on this forum lol maybe he just forgot?

When I eventually do my tundra brakes I'll switch to these brake lines. My stock rear brake line has enough slack with my 9 wraps... I was kinda baffled when I noticed that. Maybe I just got lucky. 96 4runner 4x4 CUSTOM EDITION Extended Rear Brake Line!!!

Kid...

If you like those Goodridge brake lines, I found them for $100 without doing a group buy.

Goodridge G-Stop Brake Line Kit

Haven't read your build, but if you've done the Tundra Brake swap...then I would go with crown. They have five (5) layers...including Teflon, and reinforced Kevlar. Nine (9) different colors to chose from. I have a set on my Chevy diesel...they work/look great. Had them on a couple winters in Ohio...still look new! Cost a little bit more money, but worth it in my opinion.

Tundra Brake Lines

Good luck...

Re

I just a local shop make my SS extended brake lines. I just had to tell them all the information about which parts needed to make these. They turned out nice.

I know you said stainless, but if you're merely needing extended brake lines for the rear due to a lift, you can use lines for an 88 4Runner which will be about 3" longer than stock. eg: Dorman H116680

StopTech Stainless extended on E-bay. I think I paid $24 free shipping for the front 2. It's really a no brainer.

Edit, I was wrong, I paid 38.99.
