New Member, Need Help In Birmingham, AL

First of all, just wanted to say this is my first post and thanks for having me on this board.
I have a 1999 4WD SR5 with 190,000 miles on it that now has a valve cover gasket leak that I need to get fixed. Can anyone recommend a shop in/near Birmingham, AL that will do quality work for reasonable cost? Thanks!

My girlfriend's family swears by Gamble's. I'm from t-town and use local places but her family lives in Hoover and always goes there for work. It's right off of 459, I think exit 6.

I've only been to the shop once but the owner was very nice and gave us a break on several things (possibly because of the amount her family has spent there) and they did good work.

The shop was also much nicer than I expected and they have a cool little parts store attached.

But I only have the one experience and the word of a family of non-car people so I can't exactly put my stamp of approval on it :llama:
 
Moved to the 3rd gen section. The valve cover leak should be an easy fix and maybe the guys here can help you out and help you avoid spending a bunch of money for a simple fix. If you want a shop to do it, I would recommend you look in the phone book or do a google search for local shops. Then look up those shops on the bbb website and check out their rating and go from there.
