So I should have my rear bumper tomorrow! Depending on the condition, I'm probably going to have it sand blasted before I do anything with it. Still deciding if I just want to paint it black or use some sort of bed liner. Decisions Decisions

Here's some pictures of the bumper, hopefully getting it sandblasted tomorrow.

Looks so much better now that it's cleaned up. Have you done any mock ups?

After I took the pictures, I got some primer on it to keep it protected. Just my friend and I lifted it up and tried to see if we could slide it on to the frame rails, but with just the two of us holding it (100lb bumper), it was hard for us to get the right angle. It looks like it should slide over the frame rails though and be perfect height with the body and hatch. If for some reason it doesn't fit over the frame rails, cutting the bottom of the mounting points off should do the trick. But I'm pretty confident we won't have much trouble as it was on a 3rd gen previously.

Well here she is. Heading back to the shop next Monday and going to cut some of the bumper up by the wheel well. As you can see in the side shot, she sticks out a little. If I move up to 33s I would definitely have a problem with how it is right now. Also need to finish painting it.

It looks a little too close to the body. In the right situation, the body mounts in the rear allow flex which leads to bumpers like these touching the body and causing damage which the bumper is intended to prevent. I would drop it down a bit and maybe even shave down some areas.

Thanks for the heads up. While we have it off doing the other adjustments, I'll have them grind back the top a little bit. They had a big project they were working on so didn't have much time to work on it today. He just put a few welds on it so it would hold till next Monday when I go back.

Never got around to posting the finished bumper pictures on here.

Also made and installed these today.

It looks like this Christmas break I'll be adding a mini header to my list. The exhaust crack in my header is getting really loud. I think it may be the rattle then I've been trying to track down. Ooppss lol

Exhaust leak? That just means you have a performance exhaust installed

Lol. In the parking garages it sounds like my truck is about to fall apart.

Hey man I love that rear bumper. Thanks for the extra pics. Hopefully this summer I can throw some arcs around and do something like this.

So I have another update...

Getting some retrofit headlights built up for me in exchange for a flush grille and a good amount on money on my part. They will consist of Panamera Shrouds painted black to match the housings, 35w H1 Morimoto HID kit from The Retrofit Source with 5500k bulbs and the Anti-Flicker Capacitor, along with the Bixenon H4 Harness. And to top everything off, they will have a 120mm color changing halo in back.

I can't wait to get them on the 4runner. Should have them in about a month.
