worth buying an older 4runner

sorry i posted this message in the wrong place so im putting it here

I'm looking to buy an older model toyota 4runner, maybe a 1995-2000 as long as it has less then 100,XXX miles, i have 1999 toyota sedan and i hate it, to small for me im almost 6ft, so i either wanna trade it in or just sell, is it worth going through the hassle and can i trust that it wont break for a loooong time, and what do you think about 1994 4runners with 70,000 miles? basically i just wanna know the chances of it breaking or having troubles. thanks.

you have some research to do!

1) 3rd gen 4runners are 96-2002... the 94 youre talking about is a 2nd gen.

2) a 3rd gen 4runner with a clean carfax and service history, with a clean frame and recent servicing will run for a very long time.

3) i advise you to find 2 or 3 3rd gens (96-2002) you are interested in. find out their service history, and do some searching on whatever known issues it has.

then go to http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com/owners.php

then enter the vehicle yr and info into the dropdown menu and look at what recommended services need to be done and see where that vehicle is at.
 
You say your about 6 ft. Well I have heard people around that height complain the 4runner is too small. (there head is to close to the ceiling) I'm 6'1 and it doesn't bother me, I guess its just prefrence.
