Granted, my driving style is probably a lot harder than the average 3rd gen owner, but it could still be a concern if it doesn't allow the stock bump to have any compression before contacting. I can measure the hardware height when I get home if you'd like on my Superbumps to compare with your's.
I believe I have that issue covered. but let me run it by you to see what you think.

The factory bump stop is 1-3/8" thick

In my design the washer sits at 9/16" from the base.
plus the bolt head, another washer and a lock washer comes out to an additional 5/16"

so that puts the top of my bolt head right at 7/8" from the base or top of A-arm. So the way it is now at full compression with the truck sitting on its factory bump stop I have a 1/2" of room between my bump stops mounting bolt and the frame.

Really interested in a set of the fronts and rears!!! Maybe even two sets since my brother and I upgrade our trucks with the same parts at the same time.

These really look fantastic. Once you feel satisfied with your results, please do sign me up for a pair! I see the level of perfectionism you seem to take in your process and I fully trust your results, so I'm in once you open these up for orders!

I'd be in for a set of the front bump stops, and will be keeping an eye on this thread.

Nice work!

Nice work here! I do need to get my bump stop situation better figured out....

so in that case, I am hopping in line! I hope you were ready for mass production.

Sounds like you have it covered. I'm sure most people aren't going compress this bump stop fully then compress the stock one by another 1/2". Should be fine then.

Put me in line for a pair of front and possibly a set of rears!

I love it when folks here put their industry expertise to solve a problem for the T4R community. Way to go!!

I made a second size rear bump stop. These would fit trucks such as stock 99 4runners or guys running the 99 springs. they are 3-1/2" in height compared to my original at 5-1/4".

So my new shorter version bump stop would be the same as running a 1" spacer with your stock bump stop. The main difference being my design offers a bit more dampening as it is a dual durometer.

typically stock length shocks are being used with mild lifts so the only purpose of running these is to prevent tire rub on the inner wheel well and I think they stop the drive shaft from contacting the gas tank under full flex. I need someone with a stockish 4runner who is willing to go out and flex there truck like a boss on the trail for more testing.

I believe between the two sizes I have it should just about cover any ride height/ suspension lift we run.

I was also thinking about casting some spacers that could be used in conjunction with my rear bump stop to allow further adjustment to fit your specific suspension set up. They would be a cheap option ($12) to get the bump stops just the right length.

Awesome!

Great dev project, can't wait to see them fs

Alright guys, The time is here! These rear bump stops are working great and ready for your abuse. I am going to be build a short run of 5 sets of rear bump stops for beta testing. Looking for some guys to get on-board so that I can buy the raw materials required to get up and going.

These sets will be sold to active T4R members that wheel often and will be able to give me feedback quickly. I have done all the testing that I can do myself. I have not had any separation or failures of any kind.

If your interested in purchasing a set of rear bump stops at a discounted price to help me get started please shoot me a pm. Once I have 5 sets sold I'm about 2 weeks out for shipment.

In the picture below is a rock that I have tried to flex out on in the past. I was not able to get very far up the rock at that time due to my rear wheel traveling to far upward and making contact with the inner wheel well as well as stuffing my driveshaft solidly into my gas tank.

With my new bump stops installed I went out to the same rock that kicked my ass before and was able get up the rock easily and hang my passenger side tire in the air with the truck completely resting on my bump stop on the driver side. No rubbing as I continued to drive up the rock. I have about a 1-1/4" clearance at full compression between my inner tire and the gas fill tube. No drive shaft and gas tank issues. I've tried my best to create that problem and I have been unable to do so since installing the new bump stops.

In controlling the amount of up travel I have gained much more ability on the trail as I'm not limited by how badly my tires are rubbing or the driveshaft colliding with the gas tank.

Here's the pic
