Removable Spray Paint for Bumper/Cladding
I can't remember, but is there a consensus on a spray "paint" that I can use on a 4XInnovations bumper and side cladding that would be fairly robust, but also removable down the road?
I'd like to paint my side cladding and wheel flares at the same time, but I want it to be removable later on. I don't want to use regular spray paint for that reason and I want to be able to "fix" any trail rash myself, so I don't want to power coat the bumpers either.
Basically, I thinking of black for the cladding, then wrapping the rest of the truck in Matte Black Vinyl.

A wrap is the best solution for the plastic cladding. I haven't seen anything except good quality automotive paint with proper prep stick otherwise. For the bumper it's easy, hit it with regular spray paint, rustoleum professional is my choice, you'll want to scuff the whole thing first, then wipe down with wax and grease remover, use a self etching primer, followed by a high build primer (if you want a smoother finish) then paint, will give a decent finish.

Sounds like you're asking about the "Plasti-dip" type product (there are several others with different names, this is just the most well known). It's not very durable, collects bug guts and dirt like nothing else and is impressively hard to clean. I have some on a white van and am finding that it Also holds onto more iron in the water, so it has yellowed significantly in a years time.
It's a good cosmetic short term option (a year or less based on my very limited experience). Maybe it holds up better in smaller sections, like over emblems.
If you want non-permanent but decent quality, get it vinyl wrapped. I don't see any reason to NOT paint though, these things aren't now,and will never be (in our lifetimes) "collector" items. Just make it how you'd like it and enjoy. No one wanting a clean stock rig will buy one with a plate bumper anyway, and anyone willing to have a plate bumper will be Perfectly accepting of other changes.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about just wrapping the cladding, etc. too. Mostly, I wanted something that would be easy to touch up if there's trail damage and I could probably replace the wrap just as easily.
Oh yes, Plasti-dip.. I couldn't remember that name. Yeah, if it's not easy to keep clean, then I might just skip it.

Applying a glossifier makes it easier to clean the plastidip.

In thinking about it, I might try the plastidip first (at least on the bumpers). ONLY because I want to see if the color change is something I'd like. I'm tempted to paint the new bumpers the same color as the body cladding too, so there's that.
Currently, the paint is in very good condition on the cladding and the rest of the car, so I don't want to commit to any spray paint yet.
The vinyl idea on the cladding is good though. So I might go either way with it.

I have used plasti-dip many times, on small emblems and entire vehicles. DipYourCar - World Famous Peelable Auto Paint – DipYourCar.com
I clean the cars with a self-wash pressure washer and don't think twice about it. no issues at all.
the dip has been able to hold up for years (my charger was dipped for 2yrs, and my WRX for 5yrs) with no signs of fading, tearing, bubbling, or anything. this includes just emblems...
just go with many light coats and you will be fine.
here is the WRX. it was a beautiful chameleon fade of purple, green and pink.
and the charger, Anthracite Metallic.

let me know if you vinyl wrap the cladding, could be the best solution per $.

Thanks for everyone's input! I just got he bumpers in... wow.. 4xinnovations welding and manufacturing process is insanely good. This bumper looks great! Can't wait to actually put it on.
Side question, do you know if you usually paint/powerdercoat the outside and insides of a bumper like this? Or do people usually just paint the outside?
Once it's on, I'll figure out what route to take with "covering" it with something.

Anytime I paint or have something painted or powder coated, I ask for complete coverage. You don't want exposed metal because it will rust. At the very least you would want the inside to have some type of coating like primer but personally I like for everything to get painted or powder coated.

Ok thanks for the heads up. I'll spray something on the inside parts then. Then worry about making the outside parts look pretty, lol.
I was worried about spraying it first, then mounting it and possibly marring the finish during the mounting. So I figured I'd do it after the fact. But yeah, I wouldn't be able to reach the insides as well. So I'll spray it while it's still off the car.

Thought I'd give everyone an update. So I decided to Matte Black spray the bumpers. Vinyl wrap would have just been too complicated and I realized I could easily spray them the cladding color down the road anyway.
I did Wrap the cladding, mostly to see if I liked Flat Black and I have to say, I'm not disliking it at all!
I'm going to get angled sliders, but that will probably be another 4 months before the arrive.
The next question is do I spray the wheels also a black color, or recondition them to the original silver?
Modifications so far: 4x Front/Rear bumpers, Warn 12lbs winch with Syn line, Halo/LED driving lights, LED light Bar, Flip up license plate holder for hawse fairlead.

Thanks for the update, I really like the look. What did you use for wrapping the cladding (if you have a specific link)?

Thanks. It's not perfect, but very good (the job I did, the Wrap itself is pretty awesome and forgiving). Also I like the wrap idea since if I get bad desert pinstriping, I can just replace that section.
I used this:
