Front Range Offroad TWINSTICK
The Front Range Offroad Twin-Stick allows the use of two-wheel drive low range, and a true neutral. As well as the ability to shift-on-the-fly, while in low range, from 2wd to 4wd and back easily, this is especially useful with a locker in the front axle, and allows for a tighter turning radius. With the factory shifter configuration, neutral only disengages the transfer case from the transmission. This actually has the front and rear drivelines locked together
Front Range Offroad's Twinstick comes in many bases, so you can install a twinstick into any Toyota Tcase!

Has anyone installed one on a 01-02 4runner with the center differential?
Will it work in a 2000 4runner sr5 j pattern case?
Thanks

If you select - '96-'02 4Runner 3.4L Manual & Auto Trans
It tells you:

The selected product combination is currently unavailable.

So I guess my question is, this being the 3rd gen forum, is why do we care? Unless it's intended for custom T-case swap application.
Pretty cool though, I installed twin sticks on an early Bronco, the amount of control it allows is very nice.

Also interested in the answer to this. Is it a special order item you have to call about or something? Was going to order one of these for my 4x4 swap. Since it had the option for my 4runner and since i wasn't ordering yet, i never bothered to actually try to click it, so i never saw the error message.

Thank you for letting us know about the error! These are absolutely in stock we have dozens on the shelf ready to go, should be fixed now. These twinsticks work with the 02 and earlier cases for 4runners, the 04 and earlier Tacoma cases and if you want to put a twinstick in a newer (03+) 4runner or (05+) Tacoma an FJ Cruiser J shift case can be used!

Can you comment about possible interference with the 5spd shift lever? Looks like it is close...

Am I correct in understanding that this will allow you to flat-tow a 4runner without modifications like an aux trans pump or disconnecting the driveshafts? If so, opens up many options for my long term plans. If I could just flat tow behind and RV without the need for a car hauler that would be perfect.

No, the rear output bearings would be not be lubricated if the transfer case is in neutral. So, the same flat-tow issues, minus drivetrain bind.

Anyone end up doing this with stock single tcase? If so did you need to modify the twin sticks to clear auto shifter or stock bezel?
I'm running a 97 auto trans with manual j shift tcase...looking for insight to making this twin stick mod happen... with out losing my 99 cup holders haha
