You were certified long before this as far as we’re all concerned. Congratulations on getting the official nod! And thanks for helping so many of us!

It's a total joke. There is no such thing. I just thought people on the forum would get a kick out of it. But, DIYers like myself and many others on this forum are very capable at turning our own wrenches. We don't need a certification be be competent. And, we definitely don't ned to rely on dealerships and private shops charging exorbitant hourly rates to do our wrenching for us.

The Timmy the Toolman channel @infamousRNR and I started is all about empowering people do their own automotive work. People comment all the time letting us know that our videos inspire them to do just that and that makes us very proud. We believe in most cases the best person to be wrenching on your rig is yourself because you're not in a hurry and you're going to make sure the job is done right. We also know that the knowledge we are sharing is being passed on to others so it's a Pay-it-Forward kind of deal.

Happy Wrenching Dudes and Dudettes!

The way you explain the repairs and give confidence to the not so experienced wrenches out there how to do stuff and why you do things a certain way is more worthy of a certification than some of the "certified" wrenches out there.
Not to say most are not so bright (some are very brilliant) but, some I scratch my head at the repairs when friends bring me their cars that were repaired by certified shops.

I have enjoyed you and Shaun’s videos Tim, especially during flights for work. It also lets me see how someone else may approach a repair that I didn’t see. Makes me a better mechanic hopefully.

My favorite video has to be the 2uz swap. Still can’t believe Mike gave it away if I remember correctly.
