Is anyone using or have used the Dobinsons IMS shocks for the rear? Their website says PROGRESSIVE valving.
These are re-buildable and re-valveable shocks. One of these, the IMS59-50705, is the comfort shock for the 4th/5th gen 4Runners with 0"-3" lift, but I think this can be used in the 3rd gen. I have PMed @
Crikeymike of Dobinsons and he said that the extended/compressed lengths are 590mm/355mm. which are about the same travel lengths as that of the rear 5100 shocks for the 4th/5th gen. Price is at $450.00 according to their website:
Dobinsons IMS59-50705 Monotube IFP Shocks for Toyota and Lexus
For the stock 3rd gen 4Runner/95-series Prado, the rear shock is IMS59-50225:
Dobinsons IMS59-50225 Monotube IFP Shocks Toyota 4Runner 96-02
The extended/compressed lengths are 530mm/344mm.
