Serious alarm questions

Yea I know, this is my second thread about alarm. But im scratching my head and would really appreciate someone's knowledge and I am ready for critism.

You may ask why add another alarm when there is one already installed. Well having a LCD 2-way remote is nice. Also being able to lock and unlock your car from further distance is a cool thing.

So there factory alarm in a 97 is VIP RS3000, to my knowledge this alarm is wired by using t-harness. There is also a starter relay God knows where. If you disconnect the brains of RS3000 your truck won't start. Now if you wire a viper or any other alarm, the RS3000 will still function on its own. So there is really no way to remove this alarm.

Now how about if you enter the rs3000 into VALET mode. Does it stay in VALET mode forever till you change it back to whatever? According to this
RS3000 Toyota Vehicle Intrusion Protection

If you put the rs3000 in VALET mode it disables the alarm function completely. But for how long ? Can the alarm stay in VALET mode ?

Has anyone done this ?
Has anyone successfully installed aftermarket alarm over the rs3000?
Has anyone wired in the cars alarm rather then the aftermarket alarm siren?
Is it possible to wire the car horn and ditch the siren?

I would like to know about this as well. My factory alarm acts erratic and occasionally prevents starting. 97 Limited.

Why wouldn’t you just remove the rs3000?

Yes they can be removed quite easily from the 96 through 98 at least. I will dig around tonight as I did have some information on those alarm systems.

They are actually dealer installed back then. Just like the trailer hitch and its wiring were too.

So I took the 97 Limited to dealer in Palm Springs, asked to "remove the Viper alarm". Picked it up Feb 2020, drove it a few times with no problems, piezo chirper (which always worrked erratically) is off now, but yesterday after some 4 wheeling, went to grocery store and came back out to find the old "no-start" condition again. Fooled around with the fob, security light came on, unlocked drivers door and set off alarm. Yeah, the alarm that I thought they had removed. Maybe something got jiggled after our bouncing around in the sand, but whatever is going on-they DID NOT actually remove the Viper system. I just want a simple desert rig, I don't need any alarms in this car and I don't need a fob, just keys. Is it that difficult to just remove this system and revert to original factory wiring? Or should I just install a starter switch directly to starter somehow.

I wouldn't take it to a dealer to remove a viper alarm.
Best bet would be a car audio/alarm/remote starter installer.

To remove factory or whatever alarm.
Back track the factory alarm wires from the alarm under the steering panel.
Disconnect alarm wires and reconnect factory wires that they spliced into.
