ah the bulldog warmer yes it's also good. However, the 10 mins of sub zero driving until the dog warmer kicks in... having the electro seats to bridge the gap is key.

So how bad is the install? I need to do something with my seats as they are showing wear from daily use the last 5 years.

I guess it depends?

I have done a lot of seats, these were the most challenging just because the thickness and quality of the leather. it's beefy stuff.

I did get brand new seat foam a couple of years ago so that also makes it harder. if your re-using older seat foam it will probably be easier.

I don't want to make it sound undoable, because I did it in a weekend without any trouble. you might need to use a heat gun on some parts to get things to relax into position.

just don't expect it to got on without a fight. it's going to fight back a bit.

note: I can't say enough good things about these covers, they are very high quality. I will use them again if I need seat covers in the future.

I have messed with a few seat issues before - not a fan. I might call around to see what a shop would charge for putting them on. Appreciate the info.

How did the seats turn out? I'm looking at the ridies too, but have seen some install videos that make me leery of trying it.

toyota part numbers that will work

71551-35050 seat back
71511-35050 seat cushion

you should be able to source from toyota or internet. There are some knock off cheaper pads on ebay but I would not use them.

Some other details in the video I shot a while back, take a look. Occupant senor that might need to be transfered to the new pads.

ebay pads, there are probably others available as well

Thanks so much! Hate everything eBay....seems every time I used it I get my CC info stolen. Uggh.

I'll go the Toyota route.

Thanks again....VERY helpful.

I'm about to pull the trigger on these.

They sent me samples, and it looks like the Dark Tan is closest to my factory oak leather.

What size wire do I need to get if I don't want to remove the wire from the existing seat covers?

I'll probably end up getting the factory seat cushions again, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
