Looking for this section in PDF for a '97 4runner
Let me know if you got this section in PDF as I'm trying to diagnose my daughter's electrical system. She's blowing the turn signal and stop light fuses and I need to do a systematic troubleshooting vs swapping out bulbs and guessing.
I could also use the EWD for this model year 4runner if you happen to have access.
I found the 2002 4runner FSM but that's not going to help me. I have it downloaded but the systems are different between the two model years.
Thanks.

great feedback, thank you very much!!
She does have a trailer harness and looks like it was intalled by a Toyota dealership but I'm going to take it out of the picture.
As far as the rear hatch harness that flexes a lot at the hinge, about the only thing that might be suspect is the single brake light up on top. That might be a cause of the tail light fuse blowing. Bullbs have been replaced on the other two stop light locations but not at the high stop location.
The trailer harness could also be the cause of the blinker fuse blowing out. Bullbs have been replaced.
My daughter attributes the stop light fuse blowing to hitting bumps or speed bumps at speed. We live on a dirt road so that's a common occurrence.
Thanks again sir. I need to find a source for downloading the entire EWD from someplace online.

All the '96-'00 trailer harnesses were port or dealer installed, so there was a variation in quality. I've gone through 2 OEM boxes over the years and now have an aftermarket one instead.
The other odd problem I had was the circuit board on the back of my gauge cluster had issues. Cause the turn signals, reverse and tail lights to be partially linked. Check for funny dash lights and rear indicators while you are at it.

Hey Charlie,
Thanks for the awesome feedback. I removed the Toyota trailer brake adapter last weekend and so far the turn signal and brake light fuses haven't blown. Keeping fingers crossed!
Unfortunately, my girl T boned a honda CRV yesterday so we have other issues to deal with. The lady is quite old and she's at fault so I"m hoping the ins company will settle up nicely. Perhaps a new ARB bumper is in her future!!!

Thanks for the overall EWD: I am printing it now! I have to rewire the hazard switch on my prizm. I installed a corolla dash and the hazard switch plug is different! Now I know what to do! thanks guys!!

I kinda wonder if a 1992 hazard circuit would be the same as a 3rd gen 4 runner.
Granted the prizm and corolla are the exact same vehicle. Just like the Pontiac vibe and the toyota matrix.
Reminds me of the chevy LUV and the Isuzu trucks. :-)

It's been couple of weeks and no more blown fuses for the turn and stop circuits. Removal of the Toyota trailer light adapter cured this issue.
Hope this helps others and easy to find!
Cheers.
