4Runner body shop - KS, OK, CO, NE, MO, TX

I need a recommendation for a body repair shop. I need my rocker panels replaced/repaired. I am in Wichita, KS but willing to drive to any bordering state for work.

Thanks.

Aaron

I’m having some work done in Tulsa week after next. If you’re not in a rush I can let you know (OCD level) how it went when it’s done (probably 10/20-23ish)

That would be great. My choices here are classic restoration shops. First quote was $2.5k per side.

It's not going to be cheap unless you do it yourself. As it very time consuming and you may have to rebuild some inner support pieces depending on how bad yours are.

I know that. I am having trouble finding a shop who will do the work. Most in my area only deal with insurance claims or are hot rod custom shops with a three year wait. I am trying to see if there is anything in between. I am not in a position to do it myself at this time.

I get it and understand. Just get ready for very high quotes because most places despise rust work and they don't want to do it...

The $2.5k per side is close to what I've had informally quoted when I've asked about rockers too.

A lot of places told me they won't even do it because they warranty the body work, and they aren't willing to warranty spots with high rust potential.

You can get panels for relatively cheap - 1996-2001Toyota 4 Runner Body Panels

It's the time and tooling required that's kept me from considering it so far. I would expect at least 10+ hours per side for someone that knows what they're doing. I figure if I try to tackle it I would need to at least triple that time estimate.
