Bench testing a backup camera and head unit?

Picked up some good deals this week on eBay. Mainly a Sony AX1000 and a ibeam backup camera. It’s going to be a couple weeks until I can install but I’d like to test out the goods. Can I run the positive/negative from camera to a 12v battery? Same for the head unit? Any idea which is positive and negative on the Sony?

Yes, you can run it off a battery, mine of choice is just a power tool battery.

It's pretty easy to look up the wiring diagram for a Sony head unit online.

As a word of advice, I'd advise against making new threads for every question you have. I've noticed you've made like 30 in the last few months. Many of them can be solved by searching either here or google.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure about the backup camera thats why I was asking.

Also, all of your threads are you also asking questions, so just because you know the answer to mine don’t gatekeep others from asking questions. It’s an online forum.
