Rear accessory port upgrade

Came across this while browsing for other 4runner mods.

etsy.com

This guy BH3D also makes the cupholders that many of us
(me included) have purchased and love. Saw this port and thought oh cool, more power to the back. I wouldn't care about the window switch, so I'd probably get design #2. I wouldn't even know how to wire the window switch anyways.

what do you all think of this?

I had one from the company he bought the designs from. I had clearance issues with the wiring hitting the metal behind there, and eventually a piece of loose gear smashed into it and broke it.

interesting. in the description he mentions that one of them can only be a certain depth bc of that. i wonder if he changed that. Did you end up wiring it to always be on bc key in ignition?

Super useful update. I bought this Blue Sea Systems 436 panel and installed it in the same spot as the guy on Etsy does. It's used all the time and no clearance issues.
