Stock exhaust diameter?

on 1997 4runner 3.4?

I have a brand new JBA muffler I was gonna use on my jeep but went to true duals. Wondering if a 2.5" in/ out muffler would work on the 4runner...

I believe it's 2.25" but a muffler shop can make a 2.5" muffler size work. Should only be $30 or so for an install.

Yup its 2.25" but I just got a 2.5" in/out installed on mine. They can pretty much make anything work in general.

Yep, 2.25 but 2.5 will work.

Ya I think so in my opinion, other then it obviously being louder to me my Runner runs more smooth now and it accents your ISR and Deckplate mod if you have do that as well. For 30 bucks I would do it personally. You should try and do some searches on youtube and see if anyone has already put that type of muffler on theirs before to hear the sound and see if you like it or not.

ISR and Deckplate?

didn't see any vids on youtube with the JBA muffler but I have heard it on other cars and its mellow but deep sounding so I may go ahead and do it.
