How do you remove rearview mirror base

I broke off my rearview mirror. I see I broke a plastic bracket, but can't figure how to get the base off of my 2002 4Runner. I have attached two photos.

On the first one, I have removed the two screw that I have marked in blue. the clip that broke is broken off is marked in red. That is the piece I need to replace. It's where the mirrior was attached.

The 2nd photo is the full assembly and it looks like I need to take off the light panel to get to another screw. Can anyone help me in how I get the assembly off to take off the piece I broke in photo 1, marked in red.

Thanks for any help.

I don't have a 2002 and i'm not sure how much help this picture would be either, but when I removed the 4 screws holding the mirror base, the whole assembly came off, jas try tugging it abit or check for more hidden screws.
