They'll fit your wheels if they're 16", but you'll need at least 3" of lift to fit them without rubbing

Yup- just put my toytec ultimate lift kit on and purchased these exact tires. Tried mounting them without spacers and that didn't happen. The front's rubbed the control arm horribly that we had to swap the old tires back on before it even hit the road till my spacers come thursday so GET SPACERS! haha by the way- 4wheelsparts.com has got these tires on sale right now + 5% off discount code (mc5off). For me it was $853.00 out the door but I called discount tire direct so that I could purchase the extra $100 replacement guarantee if a tires blows, etc. They will price match! Just have to prove to them that 4wheelparts has that sale right now. Just call 'em up and tell 'em you found a better deal but you'd like to order through them.

I ordered 1.25'' Allpro Spacers cause most recommended that. You save a good $200 from that deal so order before the end of the month man! Plus, there is a $50 mail in rebate w/ discount if you buy 4 tires! Deals, Deals, Deals!!!

They would fit without spacers, they are actually 10 mm narrower than the factory 265/70s.

Keep in mind that the factory rim is a 7 inch rim and most tire companies recommend a 7.5 to 8 inch rim at a minimum for 285/75s. I ran into that problem with my Kumho's, nobody wanted to mount them and I had to mount them myself and balanced them statically with 8oz of heavy airsoft pellets.

285s will mount to a 7" rim no problem and actually the skinnier the rim the better for holding the bead off road (within reason). But flyingyogi is right, some shops forgot that America is a free country and won't mount anything but stock tire sizes because their fear of laywers and lawsuits outweighs their desire to make money. 
You can get by with .25" wheel spacers with most 285s and wheelersoffroad.com sells them for ~$5 + shipping. If you want to get the Spidertrax, they are very good hub-centric spacers but 1.25" will increase the turning arc and cause a little more rubbing against the firewall than the .25" spacers will... and the Spidertrax are expensive.
255/85/16s do not require wheel spacers, but you'll still need the 3" or so lift or they will still rub like crazy.
