Love my 4runner but a major issue has been the front cup holders. Going around corners with one hand on my coffee mug to prevent it from falling over has been a major irritant let alone any type of gravel road with washboard.
Took only 5 minutes and it's super simple. I just cut a thin strip of grey packing material, stuck it to double sided foam tape and then attached to the inside of the adjustable levers of the cup holder. All it does is reduce the gap between the lever and the container. Not perfect, but for about 10 cents, works pretty well.

Just swapped out some clear corners in place of the old orange lights. Definitely worth it.

Back up and running finally!

Ran into an issue while I was reassembling everything tho. Got the intake on and started plugging stuff back in and found out that when I pulled the intake back off last weekend after finding the coolant leak, the rear passenger side injector broke at the plug. The piece that broke was still in the wiring harness plug! So, until I can get a replacement, I replaced that one injector with one of my original, green 4 hole injectors. Still runs great.

Finished buttoning it up, filled with fresh coolant again. No leaks this time! Took it out for a test drive and filled it up with fresh gas. Runs very smooth now, no more slight stumble at idle when sitting at a stop light. Can't say if it has more low end power or not but it does get up and go a little better than before. Will have to give it a tank or 2 to see if there's a change in gas mileage. Super stoked it's done and running/driving great again!

Engine before I started this little maintenance/mod adventure.

And the finished product.

Since my family and I are stuck in the house I finally had a little time to work on a project. A couple of weeks ago I received these scene light mounts from Trevor Inman @TiN. Once there has been some testing and such Trevor will have these mounts on his site. solidshiftconcepts.com I got my lights and some new hardware in this past week.

I have decided to go with 3 per side

I was able to get a console trim piece out of a salvaged 4Runner so I would play around with the mounting of the SwitchPros panel.

Turned out just like I wanted. I will have more on my build page as all the wiring and such goes along.

Finally got out and about with the new setup! It did great apart from the bumper cut letting water into my intake....that wasn't a fun time, but she survived fine. Gonna fab up some kinda water guard for it or get a snorkel

It's been about 15k since the last one, so I crawled under and greased my zerks on the driveshaft today - very satisfying job.

Early returns are showing about a 3 mpg increase after cleaning my TB.

What was the before and after? That's impressive. I have TB and MAF cleaner but been too busy to get to it. My sluggish car is returning approx 1 mpg worse than my other car which is peppier. I hope this fixes it. 17 vs 16 mpg as well.

Thanks for the post, I've been thinking about changing rim color the past couple months and I think this tipped the scales. Are you riding leveled or did you lift some? Can't always tell in pictures and I like the stance

Going off of the computer's display (I stopped calc'ing by hand as it was < 1% lower), I was down to 14.1-14.2 mpg. I've been up in the 17.2-17.4 range since cleaning the TB. When I bought the car (used, 11 years ago, with 98k miles), it was consistently at 17.1-17.2.

FWIW, I'm at 195k miles now, and I recently had the timing belt, water pump, idler, tensioner, and radiator all done too, but I don't think those changes had any effect on the mpg.
