'ol Murphy just took advantage of me

Swapped my XREAS for Bilsteins two days ago, and everything is great except my VSC and ABS lights are on. I did some searching, found out that disconnecting the battery might work, or they will turn off after a few hundred miles(pretty sure we didnt damage the line- we checked it?)

Anyways, I decide to disconnect the battery for the hell of it, and right in the middle of the operation, dogs in the driveway distracted me, i returned to work, and disconnected the battery while the ignition was on- about 45 seconds after reminding myself to make sure the key was out of the ignition before I unhook. Thank you murphy.

As soon as the terminal separated, I heard a pop from around the general area of the fuse box. great. I reconnected, checked systems, no check engine light, but now the motor idles below 500 and shakes(still drives fine) and my damn stereo is pushing subs only. all stock speakers are dead.

So instead of getting in there with a hammer and making things worse, I'd like to appeal to you fine gentlemen. What the hell did I break?

I would say the first thing in order is to check every fuse in the fuse box.

I just pulled and inspected every fuse, all fine. Turned on the stereo just for kicks, and it works now? What?
I'm more concerned about the engine idle. And with that kind of power surge, what else should I be on the lookout for?

It will go away it has something to do with the computer resetting itself. Mine does it every so often after I disconnect the battery. Scared the shit out of me the first time it happened but it goes away. There was a thread on here talking about it not sure where it is at


It only shakes when your stopped right?

Thats good news man. I tried searching some threads but came up empty. I've been trying to figure out how that surge could affect the ECU or some other doohicky I didnt know about.
