Set Up Help Bumper and Lift
Hey guys, I posted a while ago about getting hit on my front and side and I got an estimate today for $1450 to repair it. I took out the cost of the bumper repair and got around 1k for that giving me enough for a CBI bumper.
I was hoping to be able to get enough for the bumper and OME 886 and 885 rear but didn't happen. I'm still most likely gonna get it and was wondering how my setup sounds.
I'll hopefully be doing CBI front bumper with hoop, OME 886 front, OME 885 rear, and Bilstein 5100's all around. Is there anything else I would need like extended swaybar links or UCA's (which to my understanding are only necessary with coilovers). Is there any way I could cheapen this setup and how would that affect the quality.
Also anyone around Atlanta have experience installing a lift? Right now it's looking like my dad wont cover professional installation however I don't want to attempt installing a lift by myself without experience for fear of losing fingers. I know someone who has a full hydraulic lift in his metalworking shop if that helps.

Few things in no particular order:
You meant 895 rear springs, right? And 895 or 895e? I've heard anecdotally that the 895 (non-e) give a pretty stiff / harsh ride. Unless you're hauling a lot of heavy stuff in the back on a regular basis, maybe look into the 895e or 896.
Extended swaybar links in the rear can easily be done after your lift if you feel they're needed. I'm only at 1.5" in the rear, but I think the links look pretty maxed out - if I'm ever not lazy about it, I'll DIY my own extended links.
At 2.5-3" up front (about what you're looking at with 886 springs and 5100s at the lowest setting), your stock UCAs won't allow your alignment shop to dial in much caster at all. This could make your truck feel unstable / darty at speed, or wander if you hit a bump. Aftermarket UCAs will fix this (once you get an alignment with them). I ran my 3" lift for ~4 months before I upgraded my UCAs. I'd call the handling "definitely driveable and safe, but quite annoying".
Finally, can't help with your install (I'm in Nevada) but if you read and follow the walkthroughs you shouldn't have any trouble doing the work safely. I'll recommend the no spring compressor method to install the front and a friend who's willing to work for pizza and beer to help you.
Hope that helps, and good luck!

@ mrpurplepenguin
I was thinking 895 non-e because that's 2" in the rear and definitely not 896 since I won't have any added weight. However now I remember that the suspension is 2:1 so wouldn't I actually want the 895e if I'm correct so that its 2.85 min:1.85 min. Wouldn't that then be only a 2 in lift?
And like how annoying is the alignment problems since I'm not really too bothered by that, I can't afford UCAs and my dad will just whine about the alignment the 1 once a month he drives my/his car.
Also is there a certain auto shop that you would say rents the safest spring compressors or are they all pretty comparable?

The rear is a 1 to 1 ratio, it's only the front that is 2 to 1 lift height. Personally, I think the 895 coils are too stiff, especially with the 5100s. The Bilsteins are spec'd for stock coils, the valving isn't made for a coil that stiff. The 895 and 895e are the same rate, just different height. See this page for complete specs.
Coil Rates: OEM 4runner, OEM FJ, Moog, & Others

Sorry for being dense but so would bilsteins work with the 886 and would 886 paired with 885 or 885e be correct lifting? The 886 appear to be what I need for a front bumper. I like the adjustability of the 5100 and the pricing better compared to OME struts. I'm just going off ARK's awesome suspension thread for V8 with added stock weight.

What is your budget for suspension? Be mindful there will be sales at the end of the month. I know for sure Icon will offer 20% off. That may be more than you can spend, but point is there are great deals on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

@ ARK_SWAMP_RIDER
I mean my budget is whatever costs the least but still allows a front bumper and most other stuff and forum members have led me to believe that 886/885 with 5100's would work.
I don't really think such inexpensive parts could be that discounted that much on black friday but I could always be wrong. I'll most likely wait until then and see because the bumper takes at least like 3 weeks. I would love to do Icons but that's just not in my/my parents budget since I'm asking for this stuff as an early christmas present.

With the extra weight of the bumper on there, the 5100s should work well with the 886s in the front. That should yield you ~2.5" of lift (and remember, you can adjust the spring perch on the front 5100s to get even more lift if you want).
You'll need ~1-1.5" of lift in the rear to level the truck with 2.5" in the front (stock suspension leaves you with a nose-down rake, but now lifting the front reverses that). I forgot the 895/895e were the same spring rate, but I still believe that will be too stiff unless you're always loading the rear with 100s of lbs of cargo or doing a lot of towing. It's not a perfect solution, but have you considered using your stock coils and buying spacers to put in the rear? Otherwise check out Toytec, Icon, All Pro, or Sway-A-Way (from the coil rates thread) for rear coils at that lift height that won't be overly stiff.
Finally, UCAs: I described being lifted 3" on stock UCAs as "safely driveable, but definitely annoying". How annoying? That varies a lot from person to person. I drove a 1,000 mile road trip and felt that it took more concentration and effort than I liked just to keep the truck in it's lane. Around town and at lower speeds, it's not as big a deal. If you're on the fence or if budget is a concern, I'd recommend doing what I did: install the lift and get it aligned. If you don't like the feel, you can save up for UCAs (and another alignment) down the road.

Did you ever end up going through with it? I have a bumper on the way and 1 year old Bilstein's, so I am trying to see if it is a good decision to just get the 886's to go with them.

I did but you'll destroy the bilstiens in about a year. I just upgraded to proper old man emu shocks. I'd try and sell the bilstiens and go full old man emu. Buy once cry one. You can always piece the kit together.

If you want to buy once, cry once, get a proper coil over setup with 700 lb springs to properly handle the weight of a front bumper/winch setup, anything else is just a band aid.
