P0430 Catalyst Efficiency Code

Can't pass inspection due to this code. Argh... I had the cats replaced from the TSB 5 years and about 50k miles ago on my 06 v8 4runner

Can anyone make sense of any if the below? Is it time for this mod (link below) or a URD sensor Sim? I probably do have a bit of a cracked manifold.... Argh...!

Any experts like Blackworks feel like chiming in would be wonderful! :-)

Sorry I haven't been on this forum much lately... Just enjoying my T4R and haven't had any issues besides ANOTHER frozen caliper.

I just ordered o2 sensors (all 4)from Amazon. I'll report back if this helps/solves the light.

(2) of 234-4261
(2) of 234-9051

And an o2 removal socket.

My 4R is at 276k, I bought an OBD II reader and keep clearing the code. Investing $ at this point seems foolish.

Talking O2 sensors

3 of 4 are easy , it's that 1 on drivers side a/f is a BEAAAACH !! Move some stuff outta the way , I cut myself pretty bad on some of the brackets & I'm skinny ol man !! And I think that will solve problem , did mine. This low grade fuel IMO really beats these sensors up faster

The smog shop here checks history of CEL codes. Just clearing the codes isn't enough to pass emissions.

Not an issue in IL, yet.

I wish they didn't do it here. I have the 0420 code and will need to have it pass smog by the end of September.

I want to fix mine the "right" way, but at 276k and the underside rusting away I also need to be realistic to how much life is actually left in it.

I saw someone on the fb group with a 4th gen and have 400k miles a couple weeks ago. For the rust, I bought some rustoleum and seems to work ok. I'm in the same area as you too with a 206k mile 4th gen.
