fumoto valve fit problem

I did my first oil change on the 4Runner I purchased recently. I was also set to install the Fumoto F103S I purchased to make things easier in the future. Problem was the valve didn't seem to want to fit the threads. I didn't want to force it and strip my oil pan threads. Learned that the hard way on my transmission pan. Fortunately, I also had a new Toyota oil pan drain plug, which screwed in easily by hand.

Anybody else have a problem installing their Fumoto?

Yes, same exact issue. The threads even looked exactly the same as the plug's threads it just wouldn't thread in by hand so I left it off.

I've installed two with no issues. Maybe the parts got put in the wrong parts bin.

I have the F-103N. No issues screwing it in. I left a short hose attached to the nipple so I don't have to do it every 6 months lol. It's not too long, I can barely see it peeking under the 4Runne, been there for for 2 years now.

I had to run mine through a die to clean up the threads but then it was fine.
