What's This Extra Plug Near the Passenger Side Fog Light?
I was nosing around under my '07 Sport today and found this extra plug that branches off from the passenger side fog light wiring (the fog is the connected plug). There isn't one on the driver's side. Anyone know what it's for? It's obviously not anything critical but I'm curious.

This harness is most likely global part for other models like Prado or Lexus GX So that would explain extra plug.

I’ve seen some 4th gen JDM Hilux Surf with the parking sensors just above the fog lights. Tiny little circles in the front bumper with sonar sensors in them. Might be just a electrical rough-in for that option. Since they’re all built in Japan , benztech might be right and they just decided to use the same harness and left that plug as is.
I haven’t come across this in my ‘04 so it might be specific to later years only?

This makes sense to me. I may check the plug for power at some point as I have a mod idea for which it may be useful.

it could be for the washer pump, have you check for any fluid coming to the tailgate window?

While replacing my '08 OEM fogs with LEDs today, I also noticed this "extra" OEM plug next to the passenger-side fog lamp assembly.
Haven't tested it yet, but does anyone know if it's hot or not?
Can it be used for something like an LED bar?

Found it!
So here's what I found for some fella's '07 Tundra by Googling a solution...
For those who're curious, looks to be for "parking assist ultrasonic sensors" on rigs other than ours. From Tundras.com:
What are the 2 empty plugs attached to fog light wiring? | Toyota Tundra Forum
Now I'll need to test its "hotness."
Unlike me, I hope it is.

Not to hijack but speaking of extra plugs...... I was wiring in a USB plug into one of the blank spots on the center console and there is a white plug that is not connected to anything under there. I kept thinking I unplugged it when I pulled the center console up but there was nothing to plug it into lol

I do have it and it functions correctly after I reinstalled the center console cover. I checked the seat heater's as well, everything works.
Strange.
