Gas Guage

So i put seafoam in the tank and started experiencing issues with the it reading in correctly. But i am also having fill up issues as well as i can't seem to fill up the tank all the way, when the pump clicks i look and i see fuel floating for a sec, than slowly settles. i've gotten to where i can see fuel to try and reach a full tank but still was only able to reach 3/4. Would both the fill up issue and the incorrect reading be the fuel sending unit??

The sending unit wouldn't cause the fuel to be going into the tank slowly, you may want to check and see if there are any dents in the fuel tank/skid plate if the tank is dented it will cause you to not be able to put in as much gas and also could cause an issue with the sending unit if the dent is near it, the sending unit could also just be going bad but still wouldn't cause the slow filling issue.

You also may want to check the rubber hose going from the filler neck to the tank, if it is kinked somehow or deteriorated on the inside that could cause thew slow filling issue.

That’s exactly why I made the post didn’t think the two would have anything to do with each other. My first fill up when I got it a couple months ago the truck was on e. Pump stopped maybe twice took as its an older car. Didn’t have an issues for about two months when I said oh let me put some seafoam in on my next fill up. And than started having issues with the gauge not registering readings right, than started having the fill up issues.

cant say for sure whats causing the issues, you will need to diagnose further or take to a mechanic... but its not related to adding seafoam to the tank.

Took a quick peak under and noticed one of the straps to the tank is broken.
