Need windshield 2007

Looking for an OEM windshield and installation place for an '07 in the SF south bay area that is more reasonable priced than the dealer.
Anybody know of any?
Thanks

Don't you have insurance? That covers this.

For a reference, I just replaced mine. Aftermarket, mobile service - $275 installed.

Frankly speaking, I see no point overpaying for OEM ($400+ just for the glass) on a 15+ y.o. utility car.

Good point. But she's (V8) only got 113K miles and I would like to keep her forever. I also replaced the headlights with OEM and that was a fortune, LOL.
Plus a fool and his money are soon parted.

Just an FYI from my experience most all insurance companies WILL NOT pay OEM prices for glass on an older vehicle (Unless you have a "special" policy and it specifies OEM), they will only pay for aftermarket prices, if someone still wants the OEM glass the owner will have to pay the difference in price.

They will if you know who makes the factory glass. If I remember correctly Pilkington makes toyota glass. If your WS needs replacing just ask for a Pilkington WS and you will have a factory glass and the ins will cover it. That's what I did for both my 4runners. Also use the glass company to get the claim # from your ins co and you work with the glass co directly. I've used Safelite for all my glass replacements and have had no issues.

I know you can get a "factory" glass doing that, getting it from OE manufacturer, and yes I have also heard that Pilkington supplies glass to Toyota.

There have been some T4R owners saying that's the name on their OEM windshields....BUT on my 2004 is does say Toyota on my windshield.

I was in your shoes not too long ago. I had read enough bad experiences about cheaper glass manufacturers that I was convinced I needed to go OEM or OEM equivalent (Pilkington). But, after talking to a few shops decided to give the "cheaper" glass a shot. First, OEM glass was much too expensive. Second, lead times for Pilkington were too long (weeks). Third, installers told me glass quality standards have improved over the years-- particularly Fuyao which used to manufacture in China but now manufactures in a US plant. Fourth, they'd let me inspect the glass before installation.

Went with Hi-Tech Auto Glass in Redwood City because they had stellar reviews on yelp. Want to say I paid less than $200. Fuyao glass was perfect-- no imperfections, distortions, or discoloring. Been about 6 months with the new windshield and still in great shape (even after some hard rock strikes).
