Brake pedal sticky at top of release

I have a 2006 Limited V8 and just started having an issue where I can feel the brake pedal stick for a split second at the top of the release. It doesn't always happen but tends to happen on slower releases. Hard to describe but I can feel it in my foot like bubble gum sticking.

Couple years ago I replaced my front calipers because they were sticking to the rotors so I know what that feels like and this ain't it.. Does anyone know what this problem might be? Could it be the master cylinder or some other brake pedal component underneath.

I'd start at the easy stuff: Look at the pedal mech itself: could the bushing be worn out or the spring itself have lost just enough tension to not be as effective as it used to be.

I'm going to try that. When I'm parked and pushing on the pedal it never happens. Its like once I start driving. Hopefully in the next few days I'm going to see if I can recreate it while I'm looking under at the pedal to see if I see anything visibly sticking

I have not. I've been busy moving out of state and have not had much of an opportunity to look into it.

Are you having the same issue?

I need to make some time. It felt like it happened all the time in warm weather but now that it has cooled down a bit in the north east, it still happens but doesn't seem as much. However, I haven't been driving it a bunch.

Please keep us posted if you find the issue. I'll do the same. I'm hoping a have some time to look into it in the next couple weeks
