What suspension to get in 2023?

I've been a little disconnected from the T4R community recently, and wanted to hear your thoughts on what suspensions everyone recommends in 2023 for their 4th gen.

I currently have Icon 2.0s, Icon UCAs, Icon rear coils, Icon rear shocks.

I wanted to upgrade to Icon 2.5 extended travel to get more height.

I personally do like the Icons, but wanted to hear what other options are out there.

I know people are using Dobbinsons and some other options.

My plan is to essentially tear apart my front suspension and replace everything with new coils, shocks, bushings, CVs, etc.

Interested to hear your thoughts as to the route you would take.

Get your height from larger tires, not from the suspension. You run into all sorts of issues by trying to get more height from the suspension.

It all comes down to your intended use. Rockcrawling, overlanding, mudding, mallcrawling? Where does the truck spend the most of it's time?

I do a bit of everything and went with ADS for the shocks and run MetalTech HD Extended travel coils in the rear and it all works great for overlanding and mild rockcrawling.

ADS and Fox use the best quality parts...If I were to do it all over again, I'd go that route, with ADS holding the number 1 slot...tall and skinny tires are the best for lift and boy does it help on longevity and function!

Shock Surplus puts out some good comparison videos, I just watched their " King Shocks vs. Fox Shocks vs. Icon- Baseline off the shelf Behaviors" check it/them out.

This is a tough question b/c 1) ride and handling are subjective (my awesome might be your terrible and vice-versa), and 2) you can spend a lot of money on gear you can't really return. I have had "Tacoma swap" components (very cost effective and nice low-mileage OEM parts, worked great) and currently have Eibach, which I think is a superb value with outstanding on- and off-road manners. My sig has a suspension link that may have some helpful info.
