Just completed the epic family journey to Minnesota. Lovin that 75 mph speed in most states (except Oregon!). my 2004 4runner performed perfectly, with three kids in the back and the navigator/wife up front. Got about 19mpg, down due to the big topper on the roof and some fierce headwinds. Burned off a bunch of tread from the aging BFG Rugged Trails, good excuse to replace them! Anyhow, I love my Toy. It is such a relief to hit the road for 3500 miles and not worry about breakdowns!:rocker:

Its always a fun journey when you don't have to worry about vehicle problems. 2 trips from NM to ND and back on the 08 4runner now. 1 trip at the end of December, 1 trip in July, both good. Actually, I've only had car problems 1 time out of like 15 of those long trips. That one time was with a 92 Z71 silverado I use to have. Its those 30min to 1hr trips to mom and dads that cause problems. Not in the 4runner though.

We're just finishing up our Canada to Southern California trip and back again for the 2nd time in two straight years. Other then a few incidents this trip, the Rig is an ironhorse!
