I used seafoam religiously on my markviii and always administered through an intake line attached to the PCV. Let the engine take most of it in and I was advised to let the engine stall out but I could never get that to happen. Let sit for 20min, come back and watch the show! You will have huge plumes of thick white smoke coming out of your exhaust. I have been told this is all the carbon deposits being burned off.

Have not done this to my 4runner yet, though.
