Some states have what they call a stupid motorist law. Basically if you drive into water and than need to be rescued - you get to pay for that reacue - if you survive that is. Seems like that is where this thread is headed.

I lived in Vancouver for most of my life (Canada's equivalent to Seattle for all you 'muricans). Getting the windshield swamped by puddle spray was common place - either from your vehicle or one in the oncoming lane. Just crank those windshield wipers and you're good to go; no more blinded than an aggressive sneeze.

Oh I had another idea....

Maybe talk to one of these fab companies and develop some kind of skid plate or rock sliders that deploy. You could call them "ski plates" or even better "water sliders" . Since there are probably not a lot of rocks to slide on in Florida anyway, it would make sense to develop a regional product market for a "water slider". I could see this becoming a trend synonymous with Florida. Hawaii has 4Runners with 6 inc lifts and Florida has "Water Sliders"

OR ....

slowing down could be an option too? Its really 6 and half a dozen ...

Puddle Problems...

I was just in Fl last week n travel (drive NY-FL) there 2/3 times a year seeing mom n dad. Raining turns to bucketing down there, best thing to do is put your wipers on high(if you can safely) before the wave hits the windshield. You COULD slow down but I've seen all the locals (youPuddle Problems...) go thru them no prob. That second of being blind sucks but I guess you get used to it
I don't know if tires make a difference on this specific thing but for me stock tires (poor wet performance) were first to go.

OT:

@Miguelon - is that a (fake) rendering or a real 1st gen T4R build? Looks cool minus the color. Love the side windows

As you were

If it is a rendering (fake pic) - they did a hell of a job with the realistic distortions through the curved glass and all that stuff!!!

If it is a reality - one hell of a clean build - and completely unique! I still have my '87 T4R 4x4 in storage (been parked for over 15 years now!) awaiting a complete makeover one day (and at least a 5VZFE/Supercharged if not an american V8 plus a whole new drive-train). I'd love to have that sweet side-glass mod done to mine one day!!! No need for the clam-shell or jet-ski cradle

Back on topic...
