Lift and height of passenger entry

Kind of a random and definitely stupid question.
My front lift is 2" and is spot on what I wanted. My rear is also at 2" and is an inch higher than I wanted.
How much of a difference does that inch at the rear tires make for passenger entry at front and rear doors?

I ask b/c I have the option of dropping it down an inch with a different spring but I don't know if it's worth the effort.


I'm asking b/c my mom is short.

Seems to me that it might drop it half an inch which wouldn't be worth the bother aside from cutting out visual rake.

You want the rake, unless the whole suspension is very stiff.
The rake is there because all of the added cargo load goes on the rear springs. When loaded, the truck levels out. If you reduce the rake with a smaller, lighter spring you may have reverse rake when loaded with gear.

You should look at your expected loads and the spring capacity of the rear coil spring you're considering. Do you have heavy mods such as a rear steel aftermarket bumper, a tire carrier or fuel cans loaded on the back? You need enough spring capacity to compensate for fixed mods and added cargo loads, without significantly dropping the rear wen loaded.

I understand the need for rake. I have the correct spring weight for the truck.

The question is just about getting short people into the vehicle.
Will dropping the rear by an inch make much of a difference to people climbing in to the front or back seats.
Note that I’d still have an inch of rake in doing so.

so you're just asking a geometry question to see how much lower the rear door will be if you drop the rear 1"? The wheelbase is 109.8 inches, measure the distance from the center of the rear wheel to the rear door, subtract that measurement from 109.8 inches, divide that by 109.8.
