'18 Rear wheel well plastic protectors
Was washing the 4runner today and noticed that drivers side rear inner fender has this plastic piece protecting the part of the wheel well closest to the rear of the vehicle..

here, drivers side..



the passenger side does not...



was something left off at the factory by mistake? or is that the way they came? Can someone check their rig and let me know..thanks.

Mine looks the same so that’s the factory look.

I haven’t searched what’s behind that panel but my guess would be related to the gas fill hoses.

the difference is one side has the fuel input and a gas tank

Looks like they forgot to apply the sound insulation goo/tar/whatever it is to the spot.
