If you are using the retro kwik brackets, you may have better luck with donor Depo or Eagle Eyes headlights. I can’t recall which, but one of those is sealed with butyl. The projector brackets are plastic in them so they don’t work if you’re doing the Lexus projector swap, like I did on mine.
I think it’s this set, but I’m not positive.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll definitely look into those and do more research.

Here's a pic of everything I have mounted together. I'm just waiting to get time to pull these out and get the permaseal off the housings and I'm ready to seal them up.

Did you get a chance to reseal your headlights. Ive got everything ordered and will be using the same projectors for the LB and HB. Im curious as to how yours look finished. What shroud did you use for the Mini HB? Any issues with alignment? Appreciate your feedback.

align it on the vehicle with the lense off. if youre on the fence about extra stuff like paint and other stuff, just do it, you'll never wanna take it apart to do it later. just speaking from retrofiting nissan titan and f250 headlights

Going to be taking my time with the build. The retro fit kit already comes with a bracket that places it in the same spot as the oem so im hoping there wouldnt be much of an alignment issue. The HB projector in the other hand will need custom work.

threaded stock? thatll help immensely. alignment will take some tweaking though.

post pics as you go! retrofits are underrated AF

Threaded stock yes, but I had to widen the 9005 bulb hole to get that threaded shaft to fit through the housing

I have not gotten around to finishing my retro, I'm hoping to do it over Christmas break. I'd be happy to take a pic of them all together though minus the sealant

I just completed a MLED 2.0 retro, had zero horizontal alignment issues pretty much plug and play. The only issue I had was that the retroquick brackets were made for the MLED 1.0. The 2.0 body is a little different so I had to grind a bit to make things fit. Not a huge deal but kind of a pita. Good luck !

Yeah, that wouldn't be a big deal to me either. Did you use your oem headlight for the mod? Was it difficult to separate the front lens?

If you're using OEM... save yourself a lot of pain and cut them.

It was very difficult to separate the lens. I would say out of the 8 hours this project took me 85% of that time was just separating the lens and cleaning out the permaseal. I would take the advice above and cut them open. It would make this whole project a lot easier
