Yes, Toyota has the reputation of building cars and trucks that last 300k miles or more. And for the most part, they only thing these cars ask for is oil, filter, tires and brakes. But if and when they ask for something more, it is very expensive.
I had an extended warranty in my FJ Cruiser, which I bought thru a contact I made here, and it paid for itself when the truck developed an oil leak.
I then bought a 8 yr 100k platinum warranty from the same guy that @gamester is sharing with everyone for my current T4R. A few months back it covered a new caliper ($600) and just this week it covered a gasket replacement in the upper oil pan and a new gas cap ($1,551). That's over $2k of repairs that the warranty has covered with ZERO out of pocket from me, and I paid a lot less than that for the warranty thru the contact that

My T4R is at 98,500 miles at the moment, and I've been debating buying another extended warranty from toyota to add 4 years / 50k miles. This one, naturally, is almost 3x the cost of the first one that took me to 100k, but I think it's worth it.
