Driving home from the desert I noticed my rear passenger fender separating/flopping from the body in the wind on the freeway.
When I got home I looked at it and it seems to be attached by some plastic clips. I sort of smacked the fender and got it to re-attach but can pop it back off with some effort.
Do the clips fail after a while? I was off-roading in the desert so could of potentially hit a branch or maybe impact shook in loose.
My 4r is a 2018 with 80k on it
TIA

The clips that hold the fender flair get brittle over time (heat) and then can break.
Last year, when I needed to replace my fender liner, I found that most of the clips broke then I took off the flair. Best thing is to replace them with new clips when you find any broken. Fortunately, you can find good clips on Amazon or Ebay for a low price; they seem to be just as good quality as the OEM clips. Find the part number on the Toyota parts web site, then do a Google search to find them.
