Anyone interested in a new grille option?
I spoke to Michael at race mesh and he is in for making one. I am going to send him pics but it would be easier if someone would volunteer locally to go buy so he can get measurements. He is in the bay area in CA.
Google race mesh and he has some good pics so you can see the work.

I'd be interested in a satoshi... but these mesh ones that sit flush with the body part of the grille aren't my style at all. I really just want to be able to put the FJ Cruiser's "T O Y O T A" badge in my grille. So, something that had the OEM look minus the "wings" and the Toyota elipsis would be perfect.

I have been in constant search mode for the mesh, first choice being aluminum, second plastic, and third metal...I already have the logo "TOYOTA" (the one from the FJC is all inclusive with the grille) mine is from a BJ70 series.
My goal, is to match as close as possible, the existing mesh size. I don't want to mess with the lower part, but that may become a moot point if friggin Lucrum ever comes out with a winch bumper. If it is aluminum then I'd probably have it powder coated, but the goal was try to make a pattern and have it removable, or at least be able to cut some extras, depending on sheet size. The first one would definetly be prototyped.
If there's enough interest I'll post the part number and contact info for the logo. Right now I'm breakin' my arse trying to get the trailer build done and a trip or two out and about, before freezing weather.

Sure will SC..
I like the satoshi...just not the size of the mesh...but that's just my hang up...I'm sure lots of folks love that look.
The guy did a great job doing and documenting the mod...hats off to him!

I'm exactly the same way. I want it to look as close to OEM as possible. Having a totally stock 4Runner with an obviously-aftermarket grille wouldn't look good at all. I just want it to look like it came from the factory with the proper Toyota grille badge.
I've compared the FJ grille to the 4Runner and the mesh is pretty close, but not identical, so buying an FJ grille and assimilating it into the 4Runner grille doesn't seem like an option.
