Finally found my 4Runner!!

Was able to locate a semi-local (3hrs away) Mississippi dealer who had a 2010 Silver TE with KDSS and NAVi. Extra options on the TE are are stainless steel exhaust tip, window tint, premium carpet mat set with rear cargo mat, ball mount, vehicle shield package plus (Includes Paint Protection Film, Fabric Guard, Lusterizing Sealant, Sealant Cleaner, Rental Car Assistance Benefit).

All I wanted was it had to be a Silver TE with KDSS and Nav. The rest is gravy and USSA still gets invoice pricing on all options added. I'm picking it up for 37K even.

I'm going to see if they can ship it down here to Biloxi. I look forward to picking it up at my local dealer...

the one who told me I'd never find one in the country that was a Silver TE with KDSS and NAVi together......

and certainly not for USSAs pricing....

They insisted that I buy their soft demo with 1200 miles on it...

Hopefully pick it up next week!

Smile

Congrats...

Though, just for the record there is no TE Club, no sticker, no patch for your driving jacket, no driving gloves, no special honor or other paraphernalia.

I just didn't want you to be disappointed.

Ignore him, he owns a Limited and he's all butthurt that we won't let him have a badge.

What makes them 'premium'? I have the floor mat set with the cargo mat, I think MSRP is $209 on the set, hope you did not pay more.

I know you said you just cared about the specific 4R, so I take it you do not want any of these 'options'? I am sure the above might be helpful, but this reminds of me of the old 'undercoating' options (ie waste of money). I am surprised the dealership adds this BEFORE the sale. My dealer asked if I wanted most of this AT the sale, to which I said 'thanks, but no'. Almost seems like they are trying to 'pad' the sale a little. Personally I would offer them what the 4R is worth with the legit options you really wanted to and delete the other non-essential options from the price.

Either way I am glad you found your 4R, enjoy!

Thanks guys! I'm excited...been waiting since the first 5th Gens rolled off the line.

I paid invoice cost on all options. Price was $126 for the mats. The mat set is the same you have. I only copied the verbage from the spec sheet, I didn't clean up any of the language.

I am fully aware of dealers padding their profits with non-valuable extras. These options are already on the truck though, and with the exception of the obvious can't be taken off. I was willing to pay though for what's been added.

Finding a Silver TE with KDSS and NAVi wasn't easy, especially not over 5K under MSRP, and according to USAAs site the lowest nationwide cost among 260 dealers. I believe it too, I ran 45 different zip codes across the US looking for the best price. Found it in Montogmery, AL. Took that price to a Jackson, MS dealer and they said they'd match it

So ya need a TE badge now do ya? Let me see what I can come up with.

And yes, congrats on the TE purchase!

She arrived late this afternoon! Already have Shrockworks on order (should've ordered them months ago..) and drove her straight to the tire shop.

Replaced the factory Bridgestones Duelers H/T with stock size BFG A/T KOs (no pics yet, it was dark by the time the shop finished). To me they feel more grounded/firmer handling than the Bridgestones, otherwise I can't say I noticed a big difference other than looking 1000x better! I thought I'd be able to hear them more but I can't.

Next up window/windshield tint, suspension and HIDs!

Here are the BFG A/T KOs, I love the more aggressive look and they ride great!

It's funny you say that..

I was sitting in the lobby waiting for the tire install...

They are backing up the vehicle and give the courtesy honk. I hear this scooter-like horn going off....I just dropped my head in my hands....I couldn't believe it. I was so embarassed..

Toyota....really?!

So my next big question is which suspension to go with..

This is my daily driver and I would like to sacrifice as little on-road comfort as possible. I will not be doing any extreme off-roading. But definitely taking it off road on trails at National Parks and for camping/kayaking/mountain biking.

I've been hearing great things about the OLW full kits, but at what cost to on-road comfort? I've read that OLW is great off-road...but what about on-road? It's really important that I maintain a comfortable ride. This truck will no doubt see cross-country trips (active duty military) and I want it to be pleasant and not a nuisance to be in.

I am also looking at ICONs kits, stage 2 or 3. It might be overkill for my application but I'd be prepared for anything I'd want to throw at it.

I don't think I'd be dissappointed with either OLW or ICON off-road...its the on-road I am worried about.
