The wait is over!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Finally picked up my '11 TE after 4 months of waiting, I ordered it to my spec on 27 Dec and it showed up in Ohio last Friday. I've been tracking it by VIN on the assembly line and the boat over from Japan and it was close to not making it to the states in time. I've been in Japan since '08 and ordered it so I could drive across country to my next assignment in style. I looked long and hard at this and the Jeep GC, but after months of deliberating and all the priceless info I got from this forum I finally saw the light and went with the way more capable TE. Best decision ever! I already love this truck and can't wait to get my Duratracks and maybe 5100s on it. Thanks for all the info, I'm looking forward to emptying my wallet on future mods.
Next step, throw away the owners manual and ask lots of easy questions here on the forum!
Take it easy.

Wow four months of waiting! I admire your patience...
I placed my order a month ago and expecting my SR5 Canadian Upgrade end of this month. I am so eager to track it but could not find info on how to do it. I was just relying on my dealer's input.
It is possible to share info. on how to truck my vehicle ? I have the VIN info.
Thanks!

Sp8ball, yeah I was at Kadena for just under 3 years, not a bad gig but glad to be back. I was hardly ever there anyway. By the way, excellent write ups Man!
Batang, someone here mentioned a website a LONG time ago that has the ability to personally track you VIN. It may be a VIN decoder website which might help but I couldn't remember it so I hassled my dealer almost daily until they sent me the same updates they were getting. I kind of had to be the squeaky wheel until they realized I would shut up if they just kept me informed on the truck's delivery date.
Today I got the windows tinted all the way around with 20% and it isn't overly dark but promises to keep the interior temps under control.
Pics to follow once the sun comes up again.

That's pretty much what I am doing, call the Fleet Manager regularly to get an update
I even called Toyota Canada and asked if there is a web site that I can track my vehicle. The answer was check with your local dealer.
Oh well, 6 more days...
Thanks Fishpilot

I had a 2 day window between flying home from Japan and moving to NM and once I explained the gravity of my time crunch they were pretty cool about forwarding updates to me. I was sweating the last few days, hopefully it'll all work out for you as well. BTW it is totally worth the wait.
