I'll help you out. I did a lot of research before I bought mine about a year ago, and Garmin is the best in most catagories. I got the Nuvi 360 (i think that is the number) and it is perfect. It is small, voice navigation, very easy to use and it was a good price. I have used it countless times and it has never let me down.

As far as "where to stick it" I just use the little suction cup window mount that comes with it. I just mount mine when I am going on a trip and plan to use it, otherwise it goes back into the center storage.
