The WP is driven by the Timing Belt. You have to remove the tension and get the belt half-off to remove the WP. You COULD reuse the old one, but, honestly, no one in their right mind would do so unless it were almost new. There is virtually no labor saving, and the object is to avoid going into the engine that far again anytime soon. If the WP was leaking, then the TB is probably toast anyway as coolant kills them, so you need to be ready to do it, regardless.
As far as how-to's, yeah, use the search. A search for 'replace timing belt' will probably get you more results. I'll give you one because I'm a softie and you're a newbie:
