Changed my rear diff and transfer case at a tad over 30k to M1 synthetic.
Like what others have found, the rear was black. The t-case was still pretty clear and new. I haven't gotten around to the front diff yet, mostly because I'm in 4WD 10-15% of the time, so I'd expect the front diff to look as a good as the t-case. I'll do it soon, but it didn't have the same sense of urgency as the rear.
And FYI, pretty sure you already know, gear oil is some stinky stuff. The smell with linger even after thorough hand washing.
