You could always sand them lightly and then hit them with spray on bedliner. This should restore the color as well as provide a textured surface for grip.
If you decide to use plastidip, you can sprinkle sand in between coats and it will give you a textured finish also. It specifies exactly which type of sand on the backside of the can.
