Those clips aren't real easy to get off (not as bad as the fender liner), but I was afraid I would break the two on the end until I realized they just pulled out.

I looked for some satin black spray paint made for plastic, but couldn't find any, so I started with a primer made for plastics. The stuff was clear, and actually brought back the color pretty well by itself, but I followed up with a couple coats of plain spray paint.

We've had a couple really bad storms since I did the step and the emblems and they seem to be holding up quite well. I'd like to know how the plasti-dip holds up on that step over time.

Does anybody have a method for renewing the black on the running boards? I know most people take them off, so it may not be an issue. I would be afraid to paint them since they get stepped on so much.
Its good to hear that your paint is holding up. I was afraid it would crack and peal easily so I went with the Plasti Dip. I'm also curious if the Plasti Dip will hold up. I would really like to use this on the sill plates of the doors for better protection.
