I think so, at least much better than before. But like you and others mentioned nothing is going to stop a determined pro who is willing to either break a window or drill a hole, etc.

I have the other style release in which I needed to cable tie it up so it cannot be moved with a hook/hanger. Also I blacked out the windows with these...Blackout EZ Window Cover. Nice quality for the price and can be easily removed when working in the garage for long periods and you want some natural light.

One thing I often hate about my garage, no door inside the garage to the main house, can be a benefit in a garage break-in of these sorts.
