By the way, cops are not there to serve and protect you as an individual. They are there to protect and serve society. Further - if you think all they were doing is looking for DUIs, you're more naive than you think.
Yes, I do think he was a d!ick. He was asked politely a question and ignored the 2 officers multiple times, like a 2 year old playing the silent treatment. He was NOT respectful and courteous, that would have involved him actually answering the question, which he did not. Last time I checked society was made up of individuals, wow, so yes, again, they are here to protect and serve YOU. Why ignore the officer? If he had not been drinking why not just say NO, smile, have a great night and be on his merry way. If he had been drinking...well he should not have been behind the wheel most likely. I said the accident part because that is what it takes these douches of society to learn a lesson. Please, all knowing one, tell me what else they might have been looking for at said DUI checkpoints....and why whatever else they are looking for is a bad thing (no inspection, expired tags, drugs, illegal vehicle, etc)? All should be enforced anyway, if you are stupid enough to break the law then you risk getting caught. Maybe you should not voice your opinion on this forum so much, I bet the 'G Men' are watching you and will raid your house and toss you in prison and lock you away forever without a trial for supporting this person!

Sure, I'm not going to say he was not within his rights not to answer, but why not, unless he had something to hide. At one point there was actually respect for Officers of the Law, now people just spit in their face. If an officers asks you a question you answer, it is that simple. Him not answering did not make a bit of difference. It was a DUI check point, they were trying to make the roads safer, thanks to this d!ick true drunks now know how to 'scam' the system, way to go, a$$hat!
