87runner problems need help

hi back again with a couple more issues i need help solving.
my truck need alot of help and i have a number of questions, this time suspention and steering problems.
the runner has 4 inch lift but i know nothing about the lifted of suspension and am unsure bout what has been done and what should also have been done. i feel like there has been a few shortcuts taken. whoever built it is shonky as!!!
here are some pics of the setup. let me know if you need more pics of anything.

i think body may have shifted off the blocks a lil????

looks loose????

my rear end feels like it all over the place, on inspection i found the rear axle had twisted and shifted slightly due to loose nuts on the u shackle going around the axle. also the a couple leafs had started to twist and were no longer lines up str8. i tapped the leafs back into alignment and tried to hit the axle/shackle back into position with no luck. I'm guessing i need to loosen off both sides to realign in right???
Whats the best way to realign the axle to the right position?
Do i need to take weight off entire car (hoist or stands) or just jack the rear up?
could the problems with rear suspension due to me installing a tow bar and towing a boat alot?

ok next problem, have snapped a front sway bar bolt off in the chassis and noticed their is no rear sway bar.
is their suppose to be 1 on the rear?

my runnerit is a fight to drive. very difficult to hold in a str8 line.
seems to be alot of play in the steering.
think my steering and suspension problems are a bit of a snow ball effect.
i found basically all the tie rod ends, pitman arm bush etc. are all flogged out and need replacing ( parts are in the mail )
are there any other steering components i should look at as well? ie steering column, knuckle or greesing?
pics dont show how badly they are split
but here

swaybar bushes look like they seen better days also

final question for this post
what is this rubber stopper? and why is it destroyed by upper control arm.
other side isnt even touching it???

i will leave it at that for this post, their will be more posts to come for more problems lol.
all info knowledge and help appreciated
thanks jay

Your first few pics are of a body lift, looks like 3".
No rear sway bar on first gens.
The black rubber triangular thing is a bump stop to limit suspension compression.
The leafs fanning out is no big deal, if it keeps happening you'll need to tighten the bolt that goes thru the center of the spring pack.

above and-

reason axle is off center maybe due to sheered off center pin (bolt thru springs under the triangle rubber bumpstop) easy fix.
you are right, to do the repair on rear axle, jsut jack up truck from bumper till axle is hanging then put supports under frame at rear or at front of leafs to stabilize, then leaving tires on, unbolt ubolts and ebrake cables so you can remove a leafspring if you need to. If you dont move your axle too far(at all), you can keep your brake lines connected.

rubber stopper is the drop extension bushings for your swaybar in front. Or are you talking about the lower control arm bushing. stops the lca from overextending the suspension. probably blasted cuz they lifted it by CRANKING the torsion bars up as tight as they will go so your front is maxed out and stiff/harsh as hell.

all your bushings look sloppy, good start is to replace them with a urethane equal, then see what you got. dont overtighten them or they will blow apart like some you have pic'd there.

rear "looks" fine. load leafs are good if you are towing. might want to replace those old crappy shocks for some quality new ones. And your LSPV (the black metal rod connected to PS frame and DS axle looks to be grossly overextended and should have a 3" extension up off the axle with your lift. Throws your brake valving off thinks your always slamming on the brakes lifting the rear so it isnt braking the rear as much.

thats all for now

here is the same rubber on other side, directly under the upper control arm

here is location of crushed 1

sorry mate you lost me here with all the abbreviations lol
yes big problem when braking the first couple of times in the wet, loves to lock up

overall it doesnt look, or seem too bad.

that bumpstop that is smashed..is due to the lift, and the upper control arm riding on it.

Help!!! Similar problem

I am having similar problem. I clipped one of those poles that protect the gas pump and the polehit my back tire square and now my back tire is pushed back and nit square with the rest of the car and it's crabbing when I drive. I don't see any thing bent under the car and can't figure out what needs to be fixed. Please any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't have a lot of money and am trying to fix this myself.
