rebuild advice

I am seeking advice on what to buy from engbldr to get mileage and performance. I have an 84 carburetor block and head in the machine shop. Should I build the 84 and buy a weber? I think I would rather stay fuel injected. I have a rolled over one to look at that was running. I thought I would put the rolled over motor in and order the parts for a rebuild on my original 88 motor. Seeking advice for gas mileage and power. I want to make this my daily driver and would love to get 20 around town and 28 plus highway. I will be running 235/15 tires.

I've never had a carbed 22, but I don't personally know anybody who did that hasn't a) converted to propane for offroad or b) swapped to a 22RE. So for what it's worth, for DD use my vote is to rebuild the 22RE with an RV head and a good cam.

You might try calling Ted at engnbldr and asking his advice, especially since you're buying from him. I've never found him to be anything but approachable and willing to talk shop.
