1999 4runner. Manual, built(ish), low miles.

I've had several people inform me that attempts are being made to sabotage my sale of this truck. By way of anonymous information being stated in regard to it's condition/mechanical state, whatever. So, I can assume who is behind it, I can see you following my posts, I can see you viewing my profile, and I've even had major businesses in the 4runner world personally state usernames being problematic from this board. You know who you are, if you have something PERSONAL to handle, do it with me off the forum and my endeavors, I'll send you my address.

I'm making this public now because messaging a moderator got no response for several days. Well, it apparently needs noted since this kinda shit is allowed on here or "can't be identified".

1999 4runner, manual trans, 4wd, 3.4 engine
220k on body, 122k on engine, 96k on transmission, 400 miles on rear end rebuild (bearings, seals, exciter rings, ect).

AOR front and rear bumpers, Satoshi grill, FN wheels/BFG 33" K02's, OME springs front and rear, Tundra 5100's front and rear, SPC upper arms, SS brake lines, Tundra brake upgrade, weathertech mats, more but I'll elaborate to those fully interested from here.

Maintenance, I have personally put 6k miles on the truck roughly. Majority of this was done within 2k miles, however NOTHING listed has over 5k miles. Receipts available for everything; OEM lower balljoints, OEM inner and outer tie rod ends, Exedy HD clutch, OEM pilot / throw out bearing, MT90 trans fluid, Mobil 1 diff fluids, TIMING BELT/WP service and idlers/tensioner/drive belts/Toyota OEM coolant and parts used for all, OEM rear wheel bearings/seals/abs rings, OEM rear shoes/good drums, ES front sway bar endlinks, Lifetime CV axles up front, Lifetime swaybar endlinks on the rear, OEM TPS/MAF/o2 sensor/plugs/wires/PCV, ES sway bar bushings front and rear, fully sound deadened cab, fully swapped interior, every light bulb/fluid/wear item/maintenance item replaced.

Truck is tight, stops great, looks great, needs nothing. Runs amazing, clutch engages JUST off the floor and grabs hard. No squeaks, wobbles or shimmies at any speed. Never been wheeled by me/clean rust free undercarriage.

Title is clean but it was in a small collision last August, 2015. The truck was declared a total, but due to WA state law, it was too low of a payout to be reported essentially. Clean, clear title in hand, there was a bumper and a door replaced due to accident. I saw before pictures, didn't find this out for myself until fairly recently. Truck was already built, never saw or fixed anything consequently post-wreck so it's just something for your information.

-A/C needs recharged. Entire system is in place, but was disconnected with engine swap and I don't use A/C in this state.

$9500
Olympia, WA area

Stock, day 1

Thanks, also SS brake lines, Satoshi grille, anything else seen I missed goes with it. Think that's the majority of parts I forgot to list. Swapped in leather interior as you see, sport hood, door panels.

Selling as I don't have a real use for it anymore. It doesn't hold a candle to diesel for towing trailer queens around or towing quads even on the 4-6 hour drives to the dunes. It's been commuted around the city and I bought a 40 mpg car again for that kinda stuff.

Alright, got something I want to purchase. Don't have the cash without selling this as it's pretty expensive. If someone wants the truck and can pick it up by this coming weekend (6 days roughly from this post), I will take a few hundred off the price.

Otherwise, I'm tired of seeing trucks (no offense) not nearly as nice actually SELL for the same money. If you want it for 8k, I'll take some parts off. I'm flexible, I'm a motivated seller, but I'm not going to give it away. $11,500 invested in this truck doing all labor myself and buying smart (IE: under $200 into front AOR bumper).

Everything replaced, listed or not listed, has 2500 miles on it roughly OR LESS. The wheels/tires/alignment/SPC upper arms/bumpers/retrofits and some other things have under 1000 miles on them.

No offense man, but if you look at the trucks that are usually going for 8k+ they are for the most part still all original drivetrain. This is one hell of a rig, and a unicorn. Good luck with the sale though man.

I'm not offended. I'd rather have my truck with all new parts or low mileage stuff over the 17 year old truck with 140k and no attention.

All of them at 8k or more are outside book values and primarily exist for the cash buyer. It's all personal preference. You want a stock truck to modify? Pay 7-9k for the clean low miles rig, plus time and parts. Find yourself at 20k invested real quick or buy one done for less then half.

I'm not a salesman and I know you pay a premium to mod cars only to get minimal value back from it. If someone doesn't see my truck being worth 9k then I keep it and no harm no foul.

Hi there!

Couple of quick questions. Did you do the motor swap and which motor did you put in? Also, to clarify, was this a full tranny swap to another A340? Thank you! Also, would you share the Carfax via PM or email please? Thank you again!

3.4 to a 3.4
Trans was a factory 5 speed to 5 speed. Replaced clutch while I was in there. Trans casing cracked at the drain plug.

Have pics/receipts of the work. Receipts for timing belt/wp/parts on the swap. I've taken videos of the truck cold starts, running, 4wd engaging, walk arounds. Pictures under the truck, you get the idea. If you want those, I can send them as well.

I have a printed off carfax. I'll send you the Vin if you want. I'm at the point of minimal time, so out of state buyers are pretty tight on ability to buy this. Pm me if your interested and we can talk. I've got a couple serious people but I'm not holding it or anything else.

Wanted to update this, since last update was around my disclosure after about 2 weeks of harassment. My Craigslist ad has not been flagged since posting that, every party who contacted me gave full disclosure/straight forward intentions. With the long weekend past us, I was able to meet someone today and actually sold the truck for a fair amount OVER my asking.

So thanks for letting things simmer down whoever you were. Or maybe you were just busy over the holiday, either way, someone got a GREAT truck and was awesome to deal with.

Nah, I'm merely the guy who has 37 flagged posting notices from Seattle CL over 14 days, 3 out of state buyers texts who bailed on the transaction due to "anonymous information" and the other bullshit along with it, that feels it's NOT a coincidence it all subsided after posting the notice.

You guys also love photographic proof I thought?

I just got your message. Weekends and holidays are working days for me, and just started another semester in school just yesterday. Haven't checked messages until now.

I don't really know if anyone from T4R was responsible for your craigslist flagging. A lot of craigslist users do that. I don't see any direct connections or mentions about your truck for sale by any other member. I don't have any way to detect who this rogue member is.

I checked the deleted posts in this thread and they're nothing bad, one guy didn't want to leave his personal information for everyone to see and the other said he wished he was closer. Maybe there's a bit of extra paranoia from your side.

Either way, it's sold, so I'm closing this thread.
