Nothing was done to the grill except blacking out the emblems. I think it's the way the picture was taken. But that's the factory paint job of the vehicle.

That's a nice looking Sports Edition with the blacked out grill...but doesn't that boulder look like it's ready to fall off any minute? that to me is the eye catcher.

When she was stock. Found the power cord to an external HD and found pics I haven't seen in forever. This is on Hahn's Peak in Clark, CO (about 27 miles or so north of Steamboat Springs.

My 1998 in 2009
Age has taken its toll on both me and my 4runner. The wheel fell off on Dec 24 in the middle of Baja California 40km in on a really crummy dirt road. Luckily here (unlike many places in the US) people help other people. The fix didn't work, but a rancher radioed to Mulege, found the part (the ball joint) and on Dec 26 someone brought it out and the vehicle got fixed. Many thanks to Chalito from Las Barrancas for fixing it for me. He refused any money for his help, but I gave him some anyways for his new baby.

They look nice, but if you're going to be doing any wheeling over rocks....sell them. Or wait till you break them and then get sliders. If not a lot of rocks are in your future, then I say keep them!

Chichi in SoCal 99 T4R
Hello T4R enthusiasts. Just wanted to post some pictures of my T4R in our trip to Yosemite Nat. park in California. We drove the T4R from Oceanside CA and did the 380 mile trek on 8/9/10 and were back home 4 days later. I took the I-5 north to 99 to 41 to 49 to 140 into Yosemite. Did the drive back home in 7.5 hours straight... Not bad with 3 kids and one adult, held my own! Anyway, here are some pics.
